For three years, I have pretty much been blowing my nose constantly. It’s yucky. The past few months have been particularly bad, so I finally went in for allergy testing and have been seeing a specialist. I had my third appointment with them on Tuesday. They decided that I needed to have a CT scan to see what the heck is wrong with my sinuses, since I’m still having issues even though I’m on four different medications. So I did that on Thursday.
Well, it turns out that ALL of my sinuses (there are eight, apparently) are inflamed and infected. Awesome.
So here come three more drugs to take for a while, for a grand total of SEVEN.
I’m really, really hoping this will solve some things, and maybe I can go back to just one or two meds. That would be nice. And it would be even better to be able to live life without a box of kleenex next to me at all times! But that might be asking for too much. We’ll see!

Hi Alyssa,
Thought I’d chime in here because I’ve spent basically my whole life blowing my nose (and had about a kajillion sinus infections) until about a year and a half ago. It was then that I went to a naturopathic doctor and did a full allergy screening. I found out that I was allergic to dairy, and it has changed my life! Yeah, it stinks to try and avoid dairy, but it has helped a ton and I haven’t had a sinus infection since. I don’t know what your allergy testing discovered, but it wasn’t until I did all the food allergy tests that I was cured. I do hope you feel better though, I can totally relate to the misery of sinus issues. Love you!
